Episode 641 - TNAoSTH Classics 12
Taped: 4/29/22
Plot:
Sonic, Knuckles and Cream emerge from behind the giant TV set, ready to introduce another wave of classic shorts. Sonic can tell Knuckles made the opening intro because nobody chuckled at it. Knuckles punches Sonic's funny bone before vamping to introduce the first short. They reveal it by having Sonic choose between the TV set or a box. Sonic chooses the box which has the Let's Make a Deal logo inside.
Let's Make a Deal (1975): Jay Stewart introduces Monty Hall who announces that today's Big Deal is worth over $8,000. Monty picks Cream and Tails who are dressed as the Queen of Hearts and a jester respectively for the first deal. Monty presents them an envelope with an unknown amount of cash inside. He offers them that or whatever is behind curtain number 1 but they turn it down. It ends up being a car worth over $5,000. Next he offers them whatever is inside a box which they also turn down. That ends up being a diamond ring worth over $3,000. Finally, he offers them a sure thing of $500 cash. They turn down that offer as well and stick to the envelope. The envelope contains $4,000 cash which Monty says they could turn down for the Big Deal later in the show.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987): The turtles eat pizza, but Raphael gets heartburn from eating his too fast. They wonder where Splinter is, but then they hear a commotion outside. They abandon their pizza to investigate on the surface. They see the people of New York fleeing from foot soldiers, so they start fighting them off. They wonder why there's so many of them, then Krang shows up to battle the turtles. The fight doesn't last long because Krang has a cerebral hemorrhage and dies on the spot. The turtles wonder what to do about him, so Splinter suggests shredding his brain as a pizza topping. The turtles are immediately sold in it, since it does great on the pizza. April O'Neil stops by, disgusted at what she's seeing.
Home Improvement (1994): Tim (Sonic) and Al (Tails) prepare for Tool Time, trading jabs at what they plan to do. When the show goes live, Tim announces that today he and Al are making birdhouses to celebrate Spring. Tim decides to start up the circular saw without goggles, telling Al to shut up when he raises safety concerns. Unfortunately, a giant chunk detaches from the wood he's cutting and hits him in the groin. Al tells Tim that he was right about the goggles, suggesting he should have worn a cup instead. All Tim is concerned about is asking Heidi (Jenny) if she got it on camera.
Jackass (2001): Bam Margera (Lightning) decides to beat the ever-loving crap out of Phil (Sonic) before leaving him naked on a toilet. Steve-O (Charmy) announces that he's doing blind piercing with Ryan Dunn (Espio) doing his antenna while blindfolded. Ryan puts a needle through one part of his antenna and the earring itself in another. Steve-O screams in pain before showing himself to the camera. Johnny Knoxville (Knuckles) then does his own rocket skates, having two people light rockets attached to skates he's wearing. He moves forward, but he later trips and skids in circles all over. Bam then beats Phil up again, this time while he's on the phone. Preston Lacey (Big) simply does a cannonball into a public pool from the high dive, splashing everyone around it. Bam wails on Phil a third time while he's mowing the lawn, causing him to lose control and fall off.
Penn & Teller Fool Us (2019): Allison (Amy) announces Penn (Sonic) and Teller (Tails) and invites Platinum on stage to fool them. Platinum announces that he plans on burning soda cans to a crisp, leaving the soda inside unaffected. He grabs two soda cans on a table and sets them both on fire with his fists. He lets them burn out, leaving charred black residue on each can. He goes over to Penn and Teller and opens both cans for their safety. Penn and Teller each take a sip, and discover that the soda is still ice cold inside. While they take notes, Platinum tells Allison that he came up with the idea by discovering he can control the heat in his hands, not just the temperature. He is also sure that he fooled Penn and Teller. Penn announces that they not only liked the soda, they were fooled so Platinum receives his trophy.
The show ends with everyone dancing to "Push It" by Salt N Pepa. Sonic can't dance because Lightning has beaten him up for no reason.
