Episode 624 - Lucy Goosey
Taped: 11/5/21
Plot:
Lightning and Lucy catch up on what's been happening in their families before homeroom. Lightning announces that Amber's now on the dance team and that Flash is auditioning for a role in the school play. Lightning then has a run in with Kenny Salinger, an older jock kid, who mocks him for being friends with Lucy since kindergarten. Kenny tries to make a move on Lucy, but the bell rings. After second period, Lucy meets up with her friend Megan only for Kenny to show his face. After shooing him away, Lucy tells Megan that Kenny has been following her since the school year began. She says that she prefers Lightning because he's genuine, unlike Kenny who's the quarterback of the football team and has a father who's rich. Lightning and Lucy sit together for lunch, only to be disturbed yet again by Kenny. He makes fun of Lightning and starts hitting on Lucy. He then leans in to kiss Lucy which turns out to be the final straw. As Lucy runs away crying, Lightning lunges to attack Kenny. Principal Daniels happens to walk in just in time, and he gives Lightning and Kenny a stern talking to before leaving. After school, Lightning walks Lucy to her home and they talk about what happened. Lightning cools down when Lucy tells him how genuine he is and how other girls think the same. Lightning also notices that Lucy's becoming more of a woman, and she expresses pleasure when he touches her. Before long, they're lost in each other. They then spend the night in her bed, not even bothering to check the time until the following morning. Kenny eavesdrops on Lucy and Megan talking about Lightning before classes begin. Megan congratulates Lucy for taking her relationship one step further, but warns her about a fellow classmate who's being home-schooled while taking care of a baby. After they part, Kenny seizes the opportunity to make another move. He does all sorts of things to impress her, from kissing her hand to showing off jewelry he bought for her. She's finally happy when he walks into a door. Kenny confronts Lightning during another break, and they challenge each other to a fight over Lucy. Lightning calls Sonic for advice, and Sonic asks him just what he's gotten himself into. Sonic tells him he was just focused on kicking Eggman around which encourages him to do the same to Kenny. At the fight, Kenny allows Lightning to attack first. This turns out to be a mistake when Lightning repeatedly homing attacks Kenny. Kenny relents once and for all when Lightning turns out to be too powerful. He also apologizes to Lucy before leaving to look for the teeth he lost in the fight. Lightning then picks up Lucy and runs on the track with her. That evening, Lydia talks to Lucy about having Lightning over the night before. She warns her to be careful, although she is tickled to hear that Lightning beat up Kenny at school. Amy has the same lecture with Lightning, and he promises to be careful with Lucy. While Amy is also pleased to see Lightning standing up for himself, she also warns him that he might get into trouble in school if he does it again. Lucy comes over to thank Lightning for everything he's done for her. Lightning tells Lucy that she's family, and she can spend time being a big sister to Amber if she wants. Sonic and Amy watch the two outside, remarking on how much they've grown. This gives Amy an idea to have Lightning put on Whitey's fedora, because he looks so much like his grandfather now. Amy takes their picture and compares it to an old photo of her parents, moved by the resemblance. The family invites Lucy over to have homemade ravioli for dinner.
Fun Facts:
Sonic refers to Lightning as the fastest thing alive rather than himself. Amy admits to Lightning that she's perfectly fine with him doing basically whatever he wants just like his father so long as he stays out of trouble.
