Taped: 5/21/21
Plot:
Sonic's kids gather around to watch him fix the family's printer. His attempt covers him with black toner ink which the kids plan on cleaning up. Just as Lightning gets the hose ready, Amy pulls in and joking mistakes Sonic for a black guy. The kids wash him off with Comet and water, coming up with all sorts of color-related puns for him. Just at they're finished, a limousine pulls up in Sonic's driveway. A tall hedgehog wearing a tall hat introduces himself as Gary, a childhood friend of Sonic's. Sonic claims to not know him despite a flashback proving otherwise. Sonic plays on the only swing that works on a playground swing set. Gary comes by and pushes Sonic in such a way that he swings over the bar several times and traps him against the top. Sonic thinks he's turned inside out from taking such a ride. Gary says he's come back to make Sonic an offer for an endorsement. Gary is now an oil tycoon and thinks he can use's Sonic's celebrity status as a mascot. He's planning to expand into Station Square and offers Sonic multiple incentives to support his position. Among these are a briefcase of cash, a new mansion, a new truck and cosmetic surgery for Amy. Amy and the kids want Sonic to turn him down, but Sonic wants to think about it first. As soon as Gary leaves, Amy expresses how flabbergasted she is that he can put a price on Sonic. Now that he's away, Sonic can readily agree that he needs to be dealt with accordingly. Cream then comes over and is shocked to hear about Gary and his offer. Amy then pulls up a paper, reading about how Gary plans on buying Sonic out so he can replace Garnet Grove with a refinery and build pipes where all the houses are currently standing. Sonic, Amy and Cream all agree that they're not going to let Gary get away with it. Overnight, Gary sets up a wrecking ball in front of Tails' house so that he and Cream notice it when they wake up. Gary walks up to Sonic's front door the next morning and barges in, demanding that he sign the contract. They have a scuffle, but Sonic relents when Gary analyzes the inside of the house. Sonic realizes that he must have grown up there, and Gary tells him that he did with horrible foster parents. Sonic and Amy tell Gary that he's living in the past and that he must realize a new family is in the house now. They take him on a grand tour of the house, showing him each of the kids' bedrooms. Gary cancels the contract and motions for his wrecking crew to leave. Gary intends to sign another person to the deal and leaves. Meanwhile during breakfast, the television plays new ad for Gary's oil company. It turns out Gary has hired Knuckles, and he does a Billy Mays-esque commercial.
