Episode 693 - TNAoSTH Classics 13
Taped: 8/13/23
Plot:
Sonic is housing all the electronic equipment from the Classics Studio while the stage is being renovated. Knuckles calls Sonic telling him to go to the studio, but Amy insists on coming along. She gets there to see the stage and half the audience chairs stripped. She is told that they are giving the studio a classic feel. A few weeks later, the construction is complete. The stage has been changed to a replica of the old Bob Barker Studio. Shadow kicks off the show by calling Amy, Cream, Eggman, and Tails down to Contestant's Row. Knuckles accepts the microphone from Rouge, and Sonic takes a bow. Sonic and Knuckles explain that tonight's show has The Price is Right's stage because their classics are all about game shows from the 50s through the 90s.
Beat the Clock (1957): Tails and Cream play against Silver and Blaze. After Bud meets the couples, he explains the rules of the game. They each perform a different stunt for $100. Cream has to throw eggs which Tails has to catch but they have to face away from each other. He gets a lot of egg on his face, but they succeed. Silver has to keep several hula hoops in the air which Blaze gives to him. Silver struggles and is in obvious pain throughout the 45 seconds. After Blaze puts the last one on, Silver throws out his back and falls on the stage. Bud is oblivious to Silver's pain and tosses to commercial.
Truth or Consequences (1962): Bob Barker invites Cream onstage to play. He asks her how many Vice Presidents America has had, but she quickly gets buzzed out. Since she didn't answer correctly, she must face the consequences. Bob sends her outside with a Polaroid camera, instructing her to take a picture of a car that does not have a California license plate. The camera crew follows her outside where she isn't having much luck. She finally does and hurries back to the studio while the picture develops. They notice that the car has a New Jersey plate, so Cream wins a 13-inch color TV.
Wheel of Fortune (1976): After Charlie O'Donnell opens the show, Chuck calls Susan Stafford onto the stage. Locke, Sonia, and Vector play against each other with Chuck interviewing all three. They play a round where the wheel changes hands numerous times before Sonia solves the puzzle GET BACK IN THE KITCHEN for $500. Sonia buys a bracelet and a jacket with her winnings, and they are described by Charlie. Chuck vamps to commercial, winking and saying they'll be back in "2 and 2".
Jeopardy! (1987): Sonic, returning for his third game, seeks to defend his title against Eggman and Rouge. Eggman buries his competition, putting Sonic at a negative score by the end of Jeopardy! and Rouge with a few hundred dollars. Sonic fares a bit better in Double Jeopardy!, finishing in third a little behind Rouge. Eggman, however, has over $15,000. Sonic and Rouge know Final Jeopardy! with Rouge securing second place. That is until Eggman gets Final wrong and wagers his entire score. Rouge becomes the new champion with $12,200.
Nick Arcade (1992): Flash and Amber have made it to the Video Zone where a trip to Universal Studios is at stake. Amber breezes through the Haunted Museum level, collecting three statues. Flash hits a few obstacles while collecting gems in the Nile River level, but he recovers when he touches the Eye of the Pharaoh. After clearing the level, he and Amber face Merlock in Level 3. They each touch the first two orbs and defeat Merlock with 5 seconds left by touching the third together. They are congratulated upon coming back by Phil Moore.
In lieu of a dance party, Knuckles allows Sonic to wrap up the special. He advises everyone to help control the pet population with Bob Barker's speech before signing off.
