Episode 644 - Boy You Croc Me Out
Taped: 5/22/22
Plot:
Lightning knocks on the door, waiting for Flash to be done in the bathroom. Flash opens the door to reveal that he's gelled his spikes and that he's going to school in a tuxedo. Lightning asks why, and Flash tells him that he's hoping to increase his chances of asking someone to the dance. Lightning wonders why he's doing it, but he wishes Flash luck anyway. Flash gets shot down by every girl he encounters at school, with one going as far as dumping orange juice on him. He then asks who he thinks is a girl from behind but is actually a boy with really long hair. He comes across Amber whom he complains to about his rotten luck so far. Amber tells him that his standards are too high, and that he should ask someone he's more familiar with like Charisma. Lightning then comes home to discover the backyard smelling like oranges thanks to Flash. Lightning says he warned him that he was going at it the wrong way. He says Flash should just be himself, which he says Flash should put to the test by talking to Charisma. Flash then runs over to Chaotix Headquarters where Vanilla allows Flash to play with Charisma for a while. Charmy helps Charisma with bird-watching for her science fair project, and he jokes about mistaking Flash for a turkey. Flash and Charisma talk for a bit where Flash learns that Charisma has acquired a taste for nature thanks to the science fair. They then talk about how different middle school is compared to elementary school. Charisma asks where he's going with this, and Flash says that middle school has dances. Flash takes this opportunity to ask Charisma to go to the dance with him, and she accepts. Lightning congratulates Flash on the date and tells him he should have just been himself to begin with. Sonic and Amy then drive Flash, Amber, and Charisma to the school. Amber meets her date there, a boy named Evan. While Flash gets punch for himself and Charisma, Amber and Evan begin dancing strenuously. It turns out that Evan is a total creep who shares none of Amber's interests. She storms off the dance floor to meet with Thane Fox who's in charge of refreshments. Flash dances more confidently, knowing that Amber's found a good date now. Thane builds up the courage to ask Amber if she wants to go steady, but Amber is pleased enough just to have Thane as a friend. Thane is thrilled anyway, and they hug each other. As the dance winds down, they both decide to have lunch together on Monday. A few days pass, and Flash prepares to go to Chaotix with his violin. He plays a tune, and Charisma opens her window. He says they should stay as friends, but is open to things changing in the future. He's also happy for Amber because she may have found a steady date in Thane.
