Episode 511 - Sonic's Dirty Secret
Taped: 3/1/19
Plot:
Knuckles digs through Sonic's house, flashing a copy of the Enquirer. Sonic takes a look at an article depicting a woman, Amanda Shuck, who claims to be his real wife and had two children with him, Daron and Kimberlyn, before he allegedly ran off with Amy. He wonders what Amy would say about this, considering her hair-trigger temper around Sonic. To his surprise, Amy doesn't believe a word of it and tells Knuckles to stop being so gullible. A news crew then shows up at Sonic's house, asking questions about the encounter. When they become persistent, Sonic demands that they leave. They also don't believe Amy at all which prompts her to whip out her hammer at the reporter. The next day, Sonic goes on Anderson Cooper to give his side of the story. After he's finished, Anderson plays a video of Amanda explaining her fling with Sonic, using a fabricated storyline along with a sketchy birth certificate and a questionable wedding photo. The publicity has the adverse affect as CNN's poll overwhelmingly believes Amanda over Sonic. Amanda also shares her claims on the CBS Evening News with Jeff Glor with Sonic also providing a video response. With Sega threatening to terminate Sonic, Amy becoming estranged from her own mother and their kids being bullied at school, they opt for one last resort: Maury. Sonic admits on a video confessional that this appearance will finally set things straight: that Amanda is making the whole thing up. Amanda talks trash in her video response, hoping to expose Sonic as a liar. Maury then brings Amanda on the stage where he reveals to the viewers and the home audience that she and Sonic submitted to paternity and lie detector tests prior to taping. The paternity tests disprove Sonic fathering her children, and the lie detector tests back up Sonic on every claim while detecting all of Amanda's to be lies. Amanda runs off the stage crying and Maury congratulates Sonic allowing him to clear his name once and for all. Things get back to normal for Sonic as Amanda disappears from the face of the earth. Amy notices that Amber has been getting better with her hammer, prompting Knuckles to quip that the hedgehog girls are good at whacking. Amy smacks him in the eye with her hammer and Knuckles leaves before she can hit him again. Amy then unwinds by turning on the television, only to see a news story about a man claiming to be her husband.
