Episode 492 - Chronic Sonic
Taped: 8/19/2018
Plot:
Sonic and Knuckles open the show by saying that they're going to be doing something different than classic and international episodes. Instead, they're going to roll clips of the show from different eras in history.
Stone Age: The Hedgecrog family complain that it's too cold. Sonog suggests whacking things with a club to get the blood moving, which the kids start doing. Amog gets impatient and demands that Sonog invent fire. Flashog hits Lightnog with a club, and he retaliates by trying to feed Flashog to a mastodon. Sonog hits his own head with a club, and Amog does the same which makes him invent fire. Amog then uses it to cook larva soup for the family before Lightnog gets eaten by a mastodon.
Renaissance: Knuckles has grown tired of watching over the Master Emerald and tells Rouge he needs more excitement in his life. He proposes going to see a Shakespeare play and then fondling her breasts when the show is over. Locke shows up, telling Knuckles that he promised to help fix up his place. Locke becomes so fed up with his sass that he strangles him before leaving him alone with Rouge. Knuckles and Rouge continue their date despite his top two vertebrae being cracked.
Old West: Vanilla and Cream wonder what they will have for dinner when Vector brings home a buffalo he just shot. He and Chaotix leave to clean their game while the girls set the table for dinner. The boys have an organ fight with Vanilla threatening to skin them if they don't clean up their mess. Vector eats everybody's stew, but Vanilla made extra and serves that to everyone else.
Great Depression: Silver comes home from his new $1.40 job, thinking it will be enough for plumbing. Blaze tells him that they shut off the heat, so it's a trade-off for the time being. Platinum is hungry so Silver feeds him and Blaze with peas he stole from a homeless man. They then listen to Al Jolson on the radio and talk about how his offensive routine will live on forever. Cubot and Orbot break into the house steal their can of peas. Shadow stops by as a stereotypical black milkman, and Silver mentions that it was the norm back then.
Present Day: Amy has trouble searching for a book for Jessie, having tried online and chain book stores. She finds a old-fashioned book store and has Sonic head over there before it closes for the day. The shop owner owns a copy, but it takes some time since the place used to be an adult video store. He buys the book, only to discover that it's the Spanish version. Amy found a copy on Target's website after he left, and didn't tell Sonic because he figured the store wouldn't give him any problems.
Knuckles wonders if there's going to be an ending from one of the segments, only to be cut off like The Sopranos finale.
