Episode 470 - Ruff Stuff
Taped: 2/18/18
Plot:
Lara-Le flips through the channels, much to the annoyance of Wyn who tells her to just pick something. She freezes on a commercial advertising a sex therapist, who describes their sex life to a tee. Lara urges Wyn to call the number on the screen to set up an appointment, and he does. The receptionist on the other end keeps screwing up Wyn's name but she manages to put him and Lara down for an appointment the following afternoon. On the way to the office, they run into Knuckles who gives them some words of encouragement. The therapist, who suspiciously looks like Gene Shalit, leads the couple to a room where he asks for the details of their recent sex life. After some deep-thinking questions, the therapist is able to determine that they lost their passion for one another ever since Mace graduated from high school, and the empty nest left them feeling older. He suggests rekindling their relationship by spending more time with Roger and Wynona. By doing so, they can get more into each other when they go out at night. Before they leave, the therapist has them stare each other in the nude just to see if they have any passion in each other whatsoever. After some hesitation, Wyn's conscience reminds him of why he fell for her in the first place. Wyn responds by reaching for Lara-Le and pressing his member against her body, telling her it's his way of showing the affection he's had through the years. The therapist declares their session complete, and the couple celebrates by spending some alone time at home. Mace and Knuckles see the passion has returned, so they leave them be for the time being. However, after a month of going out day after day, they begin to tire of one another. Knuckles takes it upon himself to have a heart to heart conversation with both of them but doesn't get anywhere. Mace comes in and the two are reminded that he is the reason that they went to see the therapist in the first place. Knuckles comes back and tells them that the therapist had the right idea, they just took his advice the wrong way. Wyn and Lara-Le apologize to one another before Knuckles brings in Roger and Wynona. Wyn whips out his banjo and starts to play music, to which Knuckles responds by telling Mace it's their cue to leave.
