Episode 226 - We're Not Gonna Take It
Taped 3/3/2013
Sonic, Amy, Manic and Sonia watch an informercial where Anthony Sullivan pitches a miracle drug designed to help kick terrible habits. There is a warning that pregnant women and those who drink alcohol should not take the drug, which relieves Amy until Sonia tells her she could see Jenny falling for the scam. Just as she says this, Jenny forces her way into the house, announcing she bought the same pills they saw on the infomercial. After she exchanges insults with everybody, she proclaims she will use them to change her life, ignoring the warning that the drugs shouldn't be taken with alcohol. The next morning while Amy is showering, Jenny comes over to talk to Amy. After a groggy Sonic closes the door on her, not realizing who she is, she chops the door to bits. Sonic pleads for mercy, then obliviously realizes it's just Jenny. While Jenny creeps upstairs, Sonic follows her cautiously and after a battle where Sonic's futile attempts to stop her are no good, she kidnaps Amy. Sonic briefly gives chase which ends when Jenny takes her into the sewers. The rest of the gang arrives on the scene where they all discover the pills made Jenny act like this, coupled with the massive amount of booze she drank. Sonia questions if Amy was captured by the Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles but is quickly informed otherwise. Sonic calls Elaine at home and tells her what happened and Lightning pleads with her to come help, just as Raphael peeks out from under the manhole while nobody's looking. Meanwhile, after being helped by Bokkun with bathroom duties, Eggman obtains a status report on the Genocidol drug he convinced Anthony Sullivan to pitch. Only one sale is made in Grand Metropolis but Eggman stands by his guard that Sonic would be too smart to fall for something like this. Elaine meets up with the rest of the group and is filled in by Sonic and Lightning on what happened with Amy and Jenny. Just as they finish, Charmy shows up looking like a gentlemen. He explains that he became this way due to taking Genocidol...then stings Sonic profusely because he's not perfect like him. Sonia promptly sprays him with Raid, causing him to die and respawn normally. This gives the gang an idea to cure Jenny: kill her so she can become normal again once she respawns. Down in the sewer, Jenny and Amy play together on a makeshift swing set because Jenny lost a life during their trip and is now normal again. Sonic goes down the sewer with Lightning and Elaine to carry out their plan: spraying cold water on Jenny until she becomes sober. While watching Amy's and Jenny's shadows, they spring into action but the water they spray causes them to freeze solid. They make for it by chipping the ice off them until they can talk about what they were really doing, playing Twister with the sewer debris. Eggman emerges from the debris to tell them about the Genocidol drug which cancels out once the user dies and respawns. After the experience, everyone has to share the same shower to wash the filth of the sewers off them. Sonic takes this opportunity to tell Amy "I told you so," causing her to smack Manic's groin thinking it's Sonic's. Charmy arrives at the house to tell them about the drug...but promptly flies away when he sees the commotion in the shower.
Fun Facts:
It's revealed in this episode that Elaine can also use a hammer like her daughters and granddaughter. A quick appearance by Raphael was a reference to TMNT which was mentioned in the story.
