Episode 407 - Echidnapped
Taped 9/25/16
Plot:
Knuckles is shoulder deep trying to retrieve something from the septic pipe in Locke's bathroom but is unable to reach it and must return home to find something suitable for the job. Meanwhile, Roger and Wynona are roughhousing just as Rouge walks in to put a stop to it. While this is going on, a pair of agents from the Mobian Federal Adoption Agency arrive and immediately snatch Roger and Wynona claiming Rouge had signed adoption papers due to being an unfit mother with a heroin addiction. They refer to them as "Rogan and Winifred" and Rouge as "Mrs. Eckard," not realizing they have the wrong house and children. Knuckles arrives with his "muddy" arm and the agents presume him to be Mr. Eckard who has apparently fisted his wife and deem him as equally unfit to be a parent. They whisk Roger and Wynona away as Knuckles tries to give chase even landing some punches on their car before they get away. A woeful Rouge looks to Knuckles for an answer to get their children back from their captors when he devises a plan to go directly to the adoption agency and set things right. They arrive soon after but the desk clerk is too absorbed in her music to notice their presence. Knuckles tosses a series of insults at her before she finally sees them and does her best to assist them. She brings in the agents from before who are skeptical of their identities until Knuckles demands they pull up pictures of the real parents. Sure enough, the rookie agent led them to the wrong address and is immediately fired for his blunder. The remaining agent explains that they will need to retrieve the correct children from the real parents and take them to the adopted parents, a newlywed couple in Station Square no less, before they can reclaim their own. Knuckles and Rouge set out in search of Angle Island Road, which was mistaken initially for Angel Island Road, and come across an extremely drugged up Mrs. Eckard who is on such a trip she doesn't even care that Rouge takes her children from her. The frail and thin children inform her, as well as Knuckles, they haven't been fed in 5 weeks and had to eat their dead father's remains to survive. They decided to take the children to their own home first to feed them and clean them up. After a satisfying meal, they take Rogan and Winifred to what they think is their new adopted home only to find Sebastian Greyfox and Bark the Polar Bear watching after Roger and Wynona. Sebastian explains that while they are not the newlywed adoptive parents, they are babysitting for the real parents who happen to be Sebastian's brother Derrick and his new husband Gary. They happily swap twins and all is well as Knuckles and Rouge return home with Roger and Wynona. Back at Locke's trailer, Knuckles finally is able to extract the Playboy magazine Roger found under Locke's bed and tried to flush to see what would happen. Locke is thrilled to see his grandchildren and immediately demands Knuckles and Rouge get busy making him more which they immediately dismiss stating they're perfectly content with just 2 children. As Knuckles reconnects the toilet, Locke kicks everyone out as his Metamucil kicks in. The reunited family make their way home as Knuckles notices the newspaper with a story on the front page revealing the overweight desk clerk they encountered died in the KFC drive-thru from ordering everything on the menu.
