Tails has called Shadow over to show him an questionable article about Amy in the Mobian Enquirer. Shadow skims over it but becomes shocked when he reads some of Amy's quoted lines about keeping secrets from Sonic and traveling to places without his knowing. Meanwhile, Amy is in her flower garden with Sonic Jr. and Amber preparing to plant some flowers when she notices Cream crying on her back step. She questions Cream who explains what Shadow had done and Amy does her best to reassure her and Tails that nothing is amiss though she can't reveal the actual truth just yet. Manic arrives on the scene and also doesn't believe Shadow's crazy theory. Across town, Shadow has found Sonic and begins to fill his head with his wild ideas though Sonic is skeptical at first. Knuckles arrives on the scene and Shadow immediately convinces him that Amy is up to no good. Sonic still refuses to accept the theory when Knuckles proposes that Sonic confront Amy directly which Shadow instantly approves. Sonic accepts the offer and the three set off to find Amy back at home. They arrive on the scene and wait outside as Sonic goes into ask Amy some questions. Amy admits that she's been keeping a secret but insists that it's nothing bad when she suddenly receives a phone call from a man named Jerry who she quickly dismisses as nobody when Sonic questions who he is. Amy leaves in a hurry while a preoccupied Sonic does a search on the address Amy mentioned. Shadow and Knuckles come in to find out what went down when Sonic reveals he finally believes them. They decide to stake out the house which turns out to be a huge house in the rich part of town with 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, dining room, living room, state of the art kitchen, attached garage with an office above, and in-ground pool in the huge back yard. They spot Amy letting herself in with the key that she acquired from Jerry who, unbeknownst to them, turns out to actually be a real estate agent. They also don't realize that Tails, Cream, and Manic are with her as she gives them a tour of the house. Sonic climbs a tree in the backyard and overhears what he thinks is a conversation about Amy having a happy life with Jerry and their supposed family which actually is Amy receiving good news about the bid she put in on the house. Manic backs up to the window but appears to Sonic as only a shadow which he immediately assumes is Jerry and dives in the window on the attack. A frightened Manic begs for his life as Amy orders Sonic to cease his attacks. A confused Sonic realizes who they are and questions Amy once again. Amy caves and reveals that the big secret was that Jerry is, in fact, her real estate agent and that the big secret was her attempting to buy a bigger house for their family of six. A relieved Sonic apologizes to Amy who gives him a description and a tour of the house. She also explains that the house has been listed for $4 million but she is currently the winning bidder with a bid of $3 million. Sonic falls in love with it and agrees to let Amy buy it when Jerry calls and reveals the house has already been sold to a higher bidder thus crushing their chances. When the winner shows up to claim his new home, it turns out to be none other than Sebastian who immediately begins to flirt with Sonic. The six house hunters make a quick escape and return to Emerald Avenue. Later, Shadow and Knuckles are in pain from their punishments of a lump to the head and a kick in the nuts respectively and leave. Amy discovers an ad for a local contractor who specializes in garages and also notes that the empty lot once occupied by Randy Newman's house is for sale. They immediately agree to have a garage and office added to their current house and have a pool put in once they buy the empty lot thus eliminating the need for a new house. A few days later, the garage and office are already finished as Sonic and Amy admire them. Cream arrives to invite them to a cookout when Knuckles returns to apologize to Sonic and Amy for believing Shadow and they are quick to forgive. He gives them a gift which turns out to be a jar of fresh Angel Island water as a token of good luck for their new pool once it's installed. Shadow then arrives with his own peace offering. He uses a Chaos Blast to blow out the old foundation and has Black Doom drop in a custom built in-ground swimming pool much to the shock and delight of everyone. Shadow leaves before they can thank him and Sonic immediately pours in the jar of water and declares it time to fill up the pool for a swim. Amy reminds Sonic that he can't swim much to his embarrassment as everyone laughs.
