Episode 271 - Nosick the Hedgehog

Plot:
Sonic is bedridden with a nasty bug and refuses to see a doctor. Even Tails can't figure out what's wrong with him as his family gathers around him for comfort. Amy tells him he must stay in bed until it goes away, to which Sonic happily obliges. After Amy takes the kids out to the mall, Knuckles digs through the floor to tell Sonic Eggman's robots are at it again. Despite Knuckles' efforts to get him into action, Sonic stands firm with recuperating from his illness. After an accident involving Sonic puking and falling in his home, he gives in with Tails and Knuckles leading him out of the house. Meanwhile, Bokkun and Eggman oversee the damage they've done to Angel Island when Eggman unexpectedly starts to spontaneously combust. Bokkun saves him by turning on the sprinklers before deciding to strike soon to steal the Master Emerald. Tails and Knuckles bring Sonic to the shrine and, in anticipation of the attack, roll out a decoy Master Emerald. Lara-Le volunteers to watch Sonic while Tails and Knuckles scout out Eggman's robots. Locke unfortunately has been spying on them and tries to make his move while she crushes mint leaves to remedy Sonic's nausea. Locke shows him his own remedy, picking up Sonic and shaking him, but this causes Sonic to puke all over him, including a lung. While Tails and Knuckles fend off the robots, Eggman arrives at the shrine to the fake emerald. Lara-Le hits Eggman who feigns willingly conceding defeat before swooping in and flying off with Sonic and the Master Emerald anyway. While being held in a capsule, Eggman releases Sonic's puke, causing it to destroy the robots when it lands on them. Down below, the gang, knowing Sonic hates black licorice, decides to fly some over to the capsule, hoping it will make him puke more. When Knuckles' personal copter crashes and burns, they plan to have Tails bring some licorice-laced chili dogs made by Lara-Le. They dress Tails up in a Flicky costume so he won't be noticed by Eggman and successfully throws the dogs inside the capsule. Sonic takes the bait and pukes inside the capsule, causing Eggman to release more on top of his robots. Eggman, clueless as to why his army is being decimated continues to release Sonic's puke and doesn't catch on until his robots are entirely wiped out. Eggman drops Sonic and retreats, leaving everyone to regroup back at Sonic's house before Amy gets home. Lightning shows Sonic his new shoes but Eggman shows up and slips that they left the house by throwing the fake Master Emerald at Knuckles. Lightning starts puking, showing symptoms of Sonic's bug.

We learn that Sonic hates black licorice in this episode. Flicky is referenced for the first time since Melodee's departure.
