Episode 243 - Mobius... America... Whatever
Taped: 6/30/2013
Plot:
The gang is at Sonic's house for a 4th of July barbecue/pool party, except there's no pool and Sonic struggles to light to grill. Lightning looks at the decorations and asks Sonic why they celebrate Independence Day. Not knowing how to answer, Knuckles pops out of the sandbox as Uncle Sam and offers to explain the significance. It all began when the asteroid hit Earth, killing the dinosaurs, including Yoshi unfortunately, and splitting it into two dimensions, Mobius and Earth. Amy stops him, saying that's the plot of the Super Mario Bros. movie. After Flash rips Knuckles' Uncle Sam beard off, Sonic steps up and tries to explain how America came to be. He twists Columbus' discovery of America out of shape with everybody correcting him on the details. Knuckles suggests calling over Locke which Amy refuses because of his lying tendencies. They then get an idea to make someone else appear: Cream feigns screams for help and Bob Barker arrives on the scene. After he gives $500 to Cream for Miles and another $500 Amy for the baby on the way, Bob Barker begins to tell America's story. Unfortunately, he drones on for three hours about how Truth or Consequences got its name. Bob has a senior moment, forgetting who everybody is. Cream reminds him by telling him he saved them from Mike Richards. The name alone drives Bob insane and he storms off. Tikal and Omochao arrive in an attempt to shed light but they only tell a warped story about America declaring independence from robots and echidnas, respectively. Shadow shuts them both up, telling them the real story about why they celebrate Independence Day. Mobius is Earth, just under an alternate setting. All their games take place in the future and they actually live in the present day United States. Everyone then celebrates Independence Day with Sonic still unsure of its origin. Amy tells him it's the American way, much to the delight of Sonic.

Minisode 5 - Charmy on the MTA
Plot:
While Charmy is snorting lines, Espio knocks on the door and tells him that he needs to go pick up milk. He flies out the window to the subway station and after paying the fare, hops onto a crowded train. Back at home. Eric and Vector chastise Espio for allowing Charmy to leave the house by himself. Espio and Eric then set out to find Charmy who doesn't realize there's now a $5-charge to get off the subway. Underground, Charmy can't afford the $5-fee to get off which means he is now stuck on the train. Espio and Eric manage to find his train in the subway but he doesn't seem to notice them after numerous attempts to get off despite not having the money. Before the train returns, Espio and Eric come up with a plan: throw a bag of Charmy's goods and he'll fly out the train after it, bypassing the fee. Charmy receives the bag but only uses the drugs inside and doesn't come out. Eric and Espio decide to run after the train but before they can hop on, Charmy is seen naked and pissing on the floor. The cops promptly arrest Charmy and he is thrown in prison. After Espio and Charmy apologize for getting themselves into this predicament, Vector shoots the singer who narrated the entire story.

Lyrics to "Charmy on the MTA":
Well let me tell you of the story of a man named Charmy on a tragic and fateful day.
He did ten hits of his acid, drank his scotch and brandy, went to ride on the M.T.A.
Well did he ever return? No he never returned and his fate is still unlearned. (What a pity.)
He may ride forever 'neath the streets a hostage. He's the man who never returned.
Charmy handed in his cash at the Station Square station and changed for Casino Plain.
When he got there the conductor told him "5 more dollars." Charmy couldn't get off of that train.
But did he ever return? No he never returned and his fate is still unlearned. (Poor old Charmy.)
He may ride forever 'neath the streets a hostage. He's the man who never returned.
Now all night long Charmy rides through the station crying "What will become of me?"
"How can I afford to see my friends in Chaotix or my dealer for ecstasy?"
But did he ever return? No he never returned and his fate is still unlearned. (Shame and scandal.)
He may ride forever 'neath the streets a hostage. He's the man who never returned.
Charmy's friends go down to the Station Square station every day at quarter past 2.
And through the open window they hand Charmy his acid as the train comes rumblin' through.
But did he ever return? No he never returned and his fate is still unlearned. (He may ride forever.)
He may ride forever 'neath the streets a hostage. He's the man who never returned.
*banjo solo*
Now you citizens of Mobius, you know it's a scandal how our friend was put away that day.
Fight for fair release, pay the bail on time and get poor Charmy out of jail today.
Or else he'll never return. No he'll never return, and his fate is still unlearned. (Just like Paul Revere.)
He may rot forever in a crusty prison. He's the man who never returned.
He's the man who never returned.
He's the man who never returned.
Et tu, Charmy?
