Episode 230 - Chocolate Bunnies are People Too
Taped 3/31/2013
Vector and Tails help Cream make her last-minute preparations for her Easter Bunny job. Just as they are ready to send the candies out to the children, Bob Barker arrives on the scene to inform that he is shutting the operation down explaining that chocolate bunnies and marshmallow peeps encourage children to be cruel to animals by eating them. He and his former Price is Right's staff take the packages, leaving Cream devastated. Sonic, Tails, Eric and the rest of Chaotix arrive to help assess the scene of the crime by looking at the evidence Bob left behind. Sonic, Tails and Espio pay Morris Hare, the former Easter Bunny, a visit and he reveals he went through the same thing back in 1986. Morris can't help since he's still under house arrest but he tells them that Bob has a plant in the jungle that turns candy into chocolate Barker Dollars. In the swamp, Charmy, Mighty and Eric hear about the processing plant from Sonia and Manic not too far from their house. Sonic, Tails and Espio arrive to relay the information about Bob's processing plant and the decide to check it out together. Inside the factory, Bob Barker, Rich Fields, Fingers Greco, and Roger Dobkowitz marvel at their glorious machine until Sonic shows up uninvited. His staff is promptly kidnapped by Sonic's allies and they destroy the machine which enrages Bob. After a scuffle between Bob and Charmy with a little help from Sonic, Bob has them both sit down and explain his intentions. He became obsessed with helping animals since his wife Dorothy Jo died and it got out of control in 1986 during the Miss America fur controversy. That year he made chocolate Barker Dollars which got the attention of Dian and he figured if he did it again, he'd find a mate. After seeing he's mellowed out, Sonic and Charmy untie his staff while Eric explains the "true" meaning of Easter... parades. Everyone loads the truck again and they head back to Cream's house where Bob makes amends with everybody. He even gives them $500 apiece and even offers Cream a brand new car...but she has to play Cliff Hangers in order to win it. After they joke around with the game, Bob Barker declares early April Fools and gives her the car. After Bob and Rich do their sign-offs and The Price is Right's staff leaves, Cream sets off to FedEx to deliver the Easter goodies. Sonic delivers his children's baskets, much to their delight. Flash and Amber declare Cream to be best Easter Bunny ever. The gang relaxes by watching the Station Square Easter Parade together. Charmy tells everyone that Bob Barker accurately predicted a death on Red Mountain. Vector wonders is he's senile or a know-it-all and Charmy says it's senility.
