Episode 132 - Give Thanks or Give Up
Taped: 11/30/10
PLOT:
Vector arrives home with the last of the food for the Thanksgiving dinner. He's just in time as the turkey is almost done. Vector mentions a bank robbery that he and the rest of Chaotix foiled while he was gone. As it turns out, Cream is upstairs so she can get ready. As Vector is getting ready to settle down, the phone rings and it turns out to be Charmy on the other end. It's revealed that the robber has escaped from the police and Vector is needed. Vector doesn't really want to go as he has Thanksgiving dinner with his family to deal with first and the two of them get into an argument over it. In the end, Vector reluctantly agrees to come along. Vector tells Vanilla his dilemma and Vanilla doesn't want him to go. Vector tells her that he must and after a little bit of nudging, Vanilla caves in. Vector eventually finds his way to the bank to help out his Chaotix friends. Mighty is on the computer getting the latest information...or so it seems. Mighty hadn't done anything and Charmy decides to demote him to bathroom duty as Espio gets promoted to the computer guy position. Meanwhile, Vanilla has called over Sonic, who had already had his Thanksgiving dinner with his family after an unfortunate incident with Jenny and Sonic's siblings, due to what's going on with Vector. Vanilla comes up with an idea: if Sonic goes to help the Chaotix, Vector can come home. Sonic likes the idea, especially since he has nothing better to do at this point, and agrees to go find them. It isn't long before Sonic finds them, who now have a lead that he's somewhere downtown. Sonic does try to let Vector go home due to his presence but the others insist that he's needed due to his strength. Sonic tries to prove he's also strong by smashing a car. It turns out to be the robber's getaway car. The robber, having seen it, is pissed and reveals he stole the car. With some banter from Sonic, he reveals that he did all his things because he needed them. Considering he's Canadian, his Thanksgiving was a month ago. He also tries to show off his gun by shooting off Espio's horn. He is successful but it's as far as he gets. Not only does Sonic bat the gun out of his hands, but when the robber tries to keep everyone back by holding Mighty hostage, Vector's attempted pinning snaps the guy's spine and kills him. The case is closed and everyone heads home, except Sonic, who comes along with a weak Vector to Vanilla's house. Vanilla is upset that Vector has missed Thanksgiving and she has an idea. Considering how busy Vector's job is, she proposes that they take their savings to build a new Chaotix HQ building that would get added on to their house and would make a new place for Vector's Chaotix friends to live. It would also make the business more active. Vector likes the idea and Vanilla allows him to invite his friends to the table for Thanksgiving dinner. Later on, they're all there. Sonic is also there on stand by in case any extra cases show up so that way everyone else can enjoy their dinner. Vector tells Charmy that any drugs are to be used outside of the house but Vanilla disagrees and says that Charmy can use the drugs in his room, since all of Vector's Chaotix friends will also have their own rooms and be allowed to live there. Charmy realizes their new member, Eric, is missing. As if on cue, Eric barges in, who is very pissed that the robber's dead body was placed in his and Swen's yard. Eric is also unhappy that, despite already having Thanksgiving with Knuckles and his family, that no one invited him. Vector lets him stay and Eric and Espio pull out their guitars for entertainment. Eric sings and as he gets into the song, he duck walks across the table and falls off. He changes his mind and decides to have the turkey instead. However he passes out and face plants into a plate of mashed potatoes. Sonic is glad he had his dinner already and Charmy goes off to bed, having had all he could eat. Vanilla can only say "boys will be boys" but realizes how Vector's friends make things more interesting. One week later, the moving has been taking place and the loading of the U-Haul is complete. Meanwhile, the building is all finished with construction and painting. Vanilla wants Vector to keep the building a surprise but Vector doesn't notice at first. He quickly does, however, and the element of surprise is still there. The new building is revealed and everyone loves it. Fortunately, the city gave them a grant to build it so it didn't cost a thing. All of the old furniture that they had is being donated to charity, but inside the new building is a set of brand new furniture and equipment. There's even a stage for them to practice their music. It turns out that it was Eric, not Vanilla, that managed to get everything done. He shows up, huffing and puffing from everything he had done with getting the place constructed and all the stuff moved inside, and tells everyone where their rooms are, what door will lead them to the house Vector and Vanilla have been using, and the location of the bathrooms. Eric tells them that he has no plans on living with them since he lives with Swen and they cannot be separated, not to mention they're just across the street. After saying just that, he departs and heads for his house. Charmy's glad to see he has a safe to hide his stash of drugs in his room, Espio is thrilled to find a freezer of ice cream in his room, and Mighty is glad to see his room has a desert theme to make him feel at home. Meanwhile, Eric is on the phone with Sonic. Eric isn't pleased that he's got to deal with Mighty as a neighbor, especially after the mishap with the robber's body. Speaking of which, Eric had called to thank Sonic for getting rid of it. Eric asks Sonic what he did with it and Sonic only says he "gave it a nice little home". As it turns out, he had given it to Jenny, who has it on the bed and is about to have sex with it. The episode then ends.
