Episode 124 - Sonic Last Gen
Taped: 10/01/10
PLOT:
Knuckles is looking at a picture of Locke, his father, as he sits in front the Master Emerald, sighing at his death. Espio is mysteriously on the island as well, claiming to be lost when looking for a snack. Knuckles decides to tell the story of the events involving Locke in episode 18 when Espio gets curious. Two years ago, he came to tell the story of Knuckles' birth and informed him he had special powers. However while Knuckles was experimenting with those powers, Locke died and Knuckles saw Locke's ghost. One thing that baffled Knuckles is that his mother is alive and well but his father told him she was dead. Either way he hasn't seem him since then and even kept Locke's trailer the same way it has been. Shockingly, Locke appears behind Knuckles. Knuckles forgot that people DO have extra lives. Having not seen him in two years, he has Knuckles take him and Espio to see the others and he does so. They head to Sonic's house where everyone usually is, and Sonic unintentionally answers the door and smacks it in Knuckles' face. The news of Locke still being around is announced and Sonic isn't surprised, having used extra lives before. Locke gets impatient, barges in, delivers some Knuckles abuse, and makes himself comfy on the couch. He decides to tell a story from back when he was young. It was when he was friends with everyone's grandparents. It was back in 1948 when Locke was the Master Emerald guardian. He was getting bored of all the guarding and decided to head into the city. Back then, it was before Eggman's time and at this point in time it was Professor Gerald Robotnik being the main man. Sonic's grandfather, Clancy, is found eating a regular hot dog since chilidogs were not yet a favorite. Robotnik does show and banter is exchanged between the three of them. Realizing the Master Emerald is unguarded, he tries to take it. However it's too heavy for his machinery. Suddenly, Furlongs Prower, who is also nicknamed Tails but is really the present Tails' grandfather, flies his plane in and fires at Robotnik, who is defeated and runs off. The heroes decide to go to the malt shop to meet some girls but Abigail, the grandmother of Amy, interferes and Clancy runs off and kick starts a chase. However, Clancy gets away. Abigail shrugs it off and wonders where Butter, Cream's grandmother, is. She shows up in the stereotypical 1940s clothing. Locke decides that since things got uninteresting that he'll head back to the island. The flashback ends there but everyone doesn't believe it to be true. With Knuckles, there's a flaw in the dates. In fact, Knuckles believes none of those folks existed except for the professor. Locke also admits that the story was completely false. In truth, he didn't know any of the gang's families. He just said all of that because, in his own words, he's a "mean bastard." He and Knuckles head home and to beat up homeless people. Espio and the Chao go to get some ice cream. Sonic says how much of a waste the visit was and the episode ends.
