Episode 123 - Feud for Thought
Taped: 09/24/10
PLOT:
Amy is with Manic and Sonia while Amy is holding the twins, saying its been a while since the two siblings saw the kids. Lightning is out in the swamp trying to catch frogs. Amy gives the two siblings the old TV since Amy got a new one...and since Manic and Sonia's old TV got destroyed in that moving fiasco episode. Sonic, who has been there admiring his chilidog, is told by Amy to go check on Lightning. As this happens, the TV is turned on and an episode of Family Feud is starting. Realizing this would be new territory to experience, Amy comes up with an idea: to appear on an episode of the Feud. They realize they have four already...Sonia, Manic, Amy, and Sonic. However a 5th is in question. Sonic returns, having fallen into the swamp after he looked to see Lightning's vast inventory of caught frogs. He likes the Family Feud idea but he, too, isn't sure on a relative. Every idea they have, either they're not a relative or its not known where they are or if they're even alive. The kids are too young for the 12 year old minimum. They realize there's only one that could show: Jenny. They head to Grand Metropolis, where she lives, to ask if she'll come. There, they find the condo she lives at and go to the 19th floor of the building, which is at the very top. Surprisingly the inside of the condo is very luxurious and fancy due to remodeling. A huge contrast to the outside, which isn't done yet and looks like a dump. Even the elevator, made of glass, gives soft soothing music overhead. They soon reach her condo number, 1919. Jenny comes out, having smelled Amy coming. Even her room is fancy and luxurious. It turns out it was inherited from her ex-boyfriend's great grandmother in a lawsuit by Jenny from him giving her VD. She doesn't know what Family Feud is, but she accepts the offer anyway and after she packs 3 bottles of wine and a case of beer, they head to Orlando. Later on, they arrive and it's very hot. They now go to find the studio the show films at via a bus that takes them there. While on the bus, Amy thinks that the whole thing will be such a disaster, that they'll lose everything and be ruined for life. As a result, she begins crying on Sonia's shoulder. They soon arrive and get led inside. They all are taken to the hair and makeup department to get all groomed up for their taping against the champions, which will happen shortly. They are then taken to the set to get ready. Sonic, Amy, Manic, Sonia, and Jenny take their spots in that order. The taping then begins. The Hedgehog family soon realizes the champs are a stuck up, snooty family. The host, Steve Harvey, is baffled at the family of hedgehogs. In the face off, Sonic wins and he decides to let the family play. They clean sweep the board and get 94 points. Later on in the show, its a score of 297-288 with the hedgehogs having the lead. They must go into Sudden Death. In the face off with Jenny and a member of the champion family, Dorothy, it's all on them. Dorothy, although shaking like a leaf due to being very elderly, gets in first but gets a strike despite her answer. Jenny who, despite her crazy answers, manages to help the family win. All her answers find some way to get interpreted on each survey. The number one answer happened to be given by Jenny herself when the survey was taken months before. Sonia and Jenny decide to be the Fast Money participants. Right off the bat, after Sonia's turn, they get 199 points since all of Sonia's answers were number one. On Jenny's turn, once again, she gives crazy answers. A bit later on, not surprisingly, the first 4 guesses gave no points. Surprisingly, the last answer gives them 3 points and enough for the $20k. At the end of the taping, it's revealed that there's a problem. Since Jenny was in the survey, the hedgehogs were ineligible for the show. However due to the fact the mistake wasn't found until then, they get to keep the money they won. The catch is they'll be retiring as champions. With two new families to appear in the next episode, the show ends. Back at home, they drop Jenny off at her place and she thanks them for bringing her along for the fun. However she doesn't know what they won and Sonic just decides to forget about it. The rest go into the elevator when Sonic comes to a realization: the chilidog he's had the whole show, he left behind at the studio. He begins to cry on Amy's shoulder as they head home. Back at Sonia and Manic's house, the two siblings figure out what to do with the money while Lightning is excited over the whole thing since the kids could watch but they just couldn't play. They all then wonder just who watched the kids at the studio...and it turns out that it was Silver, who is still at the Feud studio which is now dark and empty. He's scared over his situation and the episode ends.
FUN FACTS: This is not the first time Family Feud has had some appearance in the series. It also turns out that Jenny is a little more helpful than it seems.
