Episode 86 - Rushin' Reversal
Taped: 12/18/2009
Plot:
One week away from Christmas, Sonic comes down with a case of swine flu. Amy complains that now she has to do all the work with Espio watching over the children. Meanwhile, Knuckles stands by the Master Emerald when Metal Sonic appears from out of nowhere and falls on top of him. Metal approaches the emerald but Knuckles shatters it to prevent him from taking it. Knuckles vows to find the pieces which Metal also plans to do. Knuckles then digs through the floor of Sonic’s house only to be puked on by Sonic. He tells the gang about the Master Emerald and Amy steps up to help him. She goes through Sonic’s closet and gathers his power-ups but they are too big for her so she decides to take her hammer on her trip. At the floating island, Knuckles tells Amy to keep watch for anything suspicious before leaving to find the Master Emerald’s pieces. After zapping Flicky, Amy encounters Metal who is also looking for the pieces and they challenge each other to a fight. She finishes him off with a hammer whack to his robotic crotch. After wandering around, Amy comes to an altar where she finds a glowing orange orb. The orb transports Amy to a lesser-damaged altar with the Master Emerald intact. After exploring her surroundings, she approaches what she discovers to be Tikal's spirit. After a long, engaging conversation, the scene shifts to the present where Knuckles has collected all of the emerald’s pieces except for three. Upon discovering the orange orb has been touched, Knuckles assumes Amy went back in time. Back in the past, Chaos appears and motions for Amy and Tikal to head over to the mountain. Tikal’s village appears to be at risk of invasion, so Amy and Tikal run through the tunnel to find King Pachacamac and, to their surprise, the Queen pregnant with Tikal. Tikal now realizes she's in the wrong year knowing that her mother, the Queen, died in childbirth. In the present, Knuckles is still searching for the remaining pieces. He goes back to Sonic’s house and tells him he’s given up all hope. However, Sonic throws up the remaining pieces so Knuckles rushes back to put them in. The island continues floating once more. Meanwhile in the past, Amy and Tikal get to the Master Emerald but Tikal forgets the poem to make the Master Emerald work. After a hammer to the head from Amy, Tikal then says the poem in Japanese which miraculously works. The emeralds summon a storm cloud which kills the soldiers and turns everything to normal. Tikal then sends Amy back to the present where she has discovered Knuckles has put the Master Emerald back together. They arrive home where Amy announces Tikal gave her a “secret ingredient” which could cure Sonic’s sickness. Sonic takes it and he’s better…until Charmy bursts in to tell him the ingredient happens to be Tikal’s "feminine" juices. After hearing that, Sonic’s bowels explode on everyone ending the episode.
