Episode 70 - Sonic's Action Replay

PLOT:
Sonic, the chao, and Espio are enjoying ice cream when Tails smacks into the wall. The window had been moved and he's knocked out cold. It takes some ice cream to the crotch to wake him up. The Tails abuse reminds Sonic of just that abuse from long ago. He allows Tails to tell the tale, in which he pulls out a photo album out from his pants. It turns out to be his memory book of all the old times. He pulled it out to tell the story of how he and Sonic met. The screen gets all ripply to show the flashback from 1992 near the Emerald Hill zone. Sonic is sleeping near the Tornado, and an upset Tails, tired of being teased at over his two tails, trips over Sonic and falls face first into mud. Sonic helps him up, and after a bit of a conversation, Tails leaves, stops, and his brain clicks. He fixes up Sonic's plane and Sonic's amazed. Eventually they hear explosions and Sonic explains that he thinks Robotnik followed him there. After that point, Tails explains that he hates the name he has of "Miles Prower" and the name those call him of "Freak." Sonic decides to call him "Tails" and Tails is overjoyed after hearing how famous and loved Sonic is because Sonic tells him it should put an end to him being teased once and for all. Back in the present, Tails briefly says they eventually ran into Knuckles. Another flashback shows how Tails, Sonic, and Knuckles met Team Chaotix and the Chao in 2003. Sonic and Tails don't get along with them at first but Knuckles remembers them from Knuckles Chaotix. Charmy is also eating pixy stix, but complains that it doesn't have enough buzz which turns out to be the origins of his drug addiction. Afterwards, Tails expresses one of his favorite moments besides meeting Amy, the day they met Shadow in 2001 near Prison Island. Amy had hugged what she thought was Sonic but it was actually Shadow. Tails wants to know where Sonic is. Shadow points to the prison block and runs away after getting a message from Eggman over a two way radio. Amy is standing in shock and then runs after Sonic, running into the prison block full tilt. Again, its the present time and Tails then goes to another flashback which was in early 2006. It was in Tails' workshop in the Mystic Ruins. Tails was working on the Tornado 3 and wanted Sonic's help installing a nuclear reactor, but thanks to Sonic the entire workshop blows up. Tails thinks he isn't smart anymore and forgets that after Amy passes by, even not seeing an injured Sonic hitting the ground. What follows is Junkzilla's distant rampage and Sonic seeing just that. Based on that and what Tails says afterward, it turns out that the moment was just before the events of the series' pilot episode. Amy wakes up and speaks about another flashback from sometime in the past in the middle of nowhere. Tails and Sonic are stranded with no food and Sonic has a "horrible beard" according to Tails. They have a brief thing over hair and Tails expresses that the long duration they've been out there alone leads him to chase Sonic around thinking he's food. Back in the present, Tails says that this is how Sonic discovered Iceland. By this point it was the official end of that album. Knuckles then digs up through the floor and it turns out Charmy was hiding in his oven again. Espio tranquilizes him, putting Charmy to sleep. Amy and Sonic are baffled by all that, and Tails decides he must head back home. He rams through the exact same place he hit early in the episode, knocking the imprint he left behind out the other side. After a thing with Espio and Sonic, Tails comes to again. He looks at Sonic, is happy over having lots of fun with him, and the both hug as the scene fades to black. Another scene fades in with music. It turns out to be a Sonic Sez episode about drugs! The episode then ends with Charmy being high again.
