If you are new to the show and wish to participate, you are more than welcome to do so, but please make note of the following rules.
1) If Junkaholic95 is unable to participate on a given night, the show is postponed until further notice unless otherwise stated. This is due to the large number of characters played by him. The show may also be postponed if not enough of our other performers show up as well. See number 14 for information on what to do if you can't make it.
2) Please avoid random non-Sonic characters unless they have something to do with the episode's plot.
3) Please avoid excessive sub-plots. It's fine to have 1 sub-plot but too many can make things confusing.
4) Please try to follow the episode summary as reasonably closely as possible. No need to be 100% accurate, but at least close enough to keep the flow going. Drifting too far away from the plot can ruin the flow of the episode.
5) Please try not to play the same character all the time. Being a regular does not mean you must be the same character constantly. Most of our performers have multiple roles so use them wisely and mix it up a bit.
6) Please do not abuse teleportation, conveniently invent new abilities, or magically heal your character to get them out of situations as it takes the fun out of the adventures. Be more creative. The exception to this rule would be that any or all of these elements are part of the episode synopsis.
7.) Please do not just brush off a villain simply because you have your own idea. Work out a legitimate way out of a sticky situation. The exception to this would be if ignoring the villain is part of the overall joke.
8.) Please do not change into character and do nothing. If you get into character, do something meaningful to the story. Saying one or two words throughout the entire show does not count. If you can't think of anything to add, just be yourself and sit back and watch the story.
9.) Please know your character. We have an extensive character profile index to help everyone learn the show's characters better. Jumping into an established story line with an established cast and portraying someone drastically out of character ruins the flow of things. Also, please have your character act appropriately to their age and abilities unless the story calls for otherwise. Feel free to contact Junkaholic95 or KoopaKid17 for help. We'll be happy to assign you a character and give you a rundown of what they're like. It's easiest to start with a minor character. If you become a regular, we'll gladly work you into a bigger role once you prove yourself.
10.) Please note that the Super Emeralds do not exist in this universe. We overuse the Chaos Emeralds as it is, we don't need Super Emeralds to abuse.
11.) Please avoid extensive use of running gags that have little or nothing to do with the plot at hand. Doing so gets really annoying and repetitive.
12.) Please keep idle discussion private during the show. Random comments can throw off the flow.
13.) No original characters or premises from Sonic Boom or the Ben Schwartz/Jim Carrey movies will be featured here. Occasionally we make fun of Sonic Boom and acknowledge the Sonic movies but that's as far as we go.
14.) If you are a regular cast member and know you will be unable to attend on a given week or are going to be late, please inform Junkaholic95, KoopaKid17, or FieldsFan336 in advance if at all possible. This way we can make any necessary adjustments to the story, move up the starting time, reschedule the episode, or cancel.
15.) Please pay attention to what's going on if you are performing. While there may be something you deem more interesting in another tab of your browser, on your preferred mobile device, on TV, or in the real world, please focus on the story. It gets very annoying trying to bring people up to speed in the middle of performing because a key detail is missed. Naturally, real world emergencies happen and take precedent over a silly show and require your attention. If possible, let us know if you need to leave and we'll understand. In the event you do get lost in the middle of the show, see rule 16.
16.) If you get lost in the middle of an episode, feel free to ask for clarification of what's going on in a Private Chat tab. Sometimes things happen quickly or characters change and previous dialog gets lost and can make it hard to following proceedings. Also, life happens and sometimes you have to break away. When in doubt, ask questions.
More rules may be added as needed.
